since my sister left the house for VA beach to visit Mike’s family, then headed straight for Clovis, New Mexico. It hasn’t been all bad, we text more now than when she lived here. And I’ve seen very little of her since she graduated high school and was out of the house as much as she could possibly get away with. Yet, I still miss her and hate to see an empty room.
What sucks the most though is finding out she was in an accident and not being able to give her a hug. But, I’m thankful that no one got hurt and relieved to hear that she’s back at her new home, starting the settling in process.

Caitlin is growing up faster than I could have ever wanted her to. She’s my little sister, though, and always will be no matter how much she grows up. She makes me realize just how much growing up I still have to do.
As much as I don’t want her to leave, I hope she is truly happy with Mike, the new addition to our family, my brother-in-law. I love you both and wish you the best. Always remember to take care of each other, because you have something special together. Don’t ever forget that.
I know you’ll be nearly an entire country away in just a little while, but I’ll always be just a phone call away if you ever need anything. And you had better call me even if you don’t need anything.
Love you little sis.

My sister reading a book

A little alligator near the pool!

Polly... also reading a book
I’ve learned that I rather enjoy reading things on the internet and the same can’t always be said for books. I was in heaven with fast internet on vacation in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Granted it was really hot and humid there, but really nice for the most part. The place we stayed at was nicer than I had expected, and air conditioned; I was happy. I would have enjoyed riding bikes more if one of the pedals hadn’t fallen off. The beach was quite crowded when I decided to go, since it was a couple minutes away by bicycle. It was as if everyone ever was there at the same time, even though it was a private beach. I suppose private is a relative term: Private to anyone who stays in this huge community.
