As you can see above from the Gmail inbox, Google has allowed you to write a custom message to put in a holiday post card to send to your friends and family :) Unfortunately, they only allow you to create and send one. Who has received mine? Only time will tell.

Finally got my invite from google.  It feels like it’s been forever since I signed up, but I’m not complaining.  It seems like it can have some fun and some business applications.  An easy way to share photos and coordinate plans for just about anything.  It’s hard to say with any real confidence how it performs, since I have a very limited amount of contacts on there now.  If people need an invite, let me know.  I have a few to hand out now, and that means I can add more about it later as I get to use it for different functions.

Hit me up on myspace, facebook or twitter and my email is the.cloned at gmail

  • Google: You’re no help

Recently, my website has been marked as potentially harmful to computers.  I performed some software updates on my 3rd party installations (drupal) and asked it to check my site again.  Instead of that helping, google claims that my site has worsened, not gotten better.

This is a good security measure.  It helps people realize when their site may have been compromised and it helps people realize when something isn’t quite right.  However, they do not provide much helpful information on how to get rid of it.  Or maybe they do, just not in any obvious way.  In order to be more useful to domain owners, there needs to be a definitive guide.  Something to look for on your site that is out of line.

Maybe there is and I just haven’t figured it out yet.  Hopefully I’ll get this solved sooner rather than later.

With the frustration of not being able to figure out the cause of the problem, I decided that maybe it would be a good time to start over in the website world.  I’ve been talking to a few friends and they think that maybe we can start using my site for some sort of online community. We’ll see how it goes
